Support Agricultural Extension Students at Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources
Extension students studying Agriculture Extension at the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) are currently facing significant financial challenges in implementing their Supervised Extension Projects (SEPs). These hands-on projects are crucial for their academic development, providing them with invaluable opportunities to engage directly with farmers across the country. Through these interactions, students tackle real-world agricultural issues, contributing to solutions that could transform the agricultural landscape in Malawi.
The recommendations derived from these research projects have the potential to revolutionize the way we approach and utilize agriculture in the country. However, financial constraints limit the students’ ability to fully realize the impact of their work.
To support these students in overcoming their financial hardships and ensure the continued success of their projects, we invite you to contribute to the MAFASS Bunda Chapter’s initiatives. Your donation or collaboration will help empower these future leaders in agriculture and foster innovative solutions to improve farming practices across Malawi.

MaFAAS Patron "Mr Daniso Mkweu" guided the team to their designated farm. The purpose of this visit was to familiarize the team with the farmland allocated to them by the extension department, enabling them to proceed with the planning and implementation of their agricultural objectives for the 2024-25 season.
A fundraising event was held on 12 September 2024 to support the implementation of MaFAAS projects, including the First Year Welcoming Party and the MaFAAS Farm Project, along with several other initiatives outlined in its plan.
On 14th September, we welcomed first-year Agricultural Extension students with a gathering behind Christin Bonvee (Simama) Hostel, fostering community bonds and celebrating the start of their journey.
